Genetics predispose people to act and behave a certain way, which in turn could contribute to antisocial behavior, which could lead to criminal behavior.
There is no specific gene that automatically ensures criminality 100%. Keep this train of thinking in mind. This is important to remember!

Want to start posting about the research I’m doing. Studying Routine Activity Theory by Cohen and Felson right now. They basically posit that criminal opportunity is created when a suitable target, a motivated offender, and a lack of a capable guardian come together in time and space. Further, crime is looked at as an event, just like going to the store or a party. Crime is a constant, and certain situations allow for individuals to act on their criminal inclinations.
